Proactive Recovery Centers and the Basics of How to Use One

Lifestyle Coach JAM here, with some insight around using recovery centers and equipment.

In my last INSIGHT broadcast, I talked about the nine signals that you avoid fatigue signs. These are key to pay attention to because there is no aspect of your LIFE “STYLE” I could share with you, train you on or coach you around that does not depend on you having enough energy to implement.

When talking about REM: REGENERATION ENERGY METHOD©, I get into the how-to maximize your recovery. Still, I’ve found that people generally want to accelerate recovery and healing to build momentum.

So today, there are proactive recovery centers that have begun popping up over the past 5-10 years. Here’s how to use them…

First, when I talk about a recovery facility, I’m not talking about the drugs and alcohol-type facility; I’m talking about energy recovery and accelerate healing (regeneration) the kind of facility in which if you don’t use or do so proactively on your own, you will end up a potential candidate for that drugs and alcohol type facility.

So in this INSIGHT, I want to share how you use these new recovery facilities, such as REGENUS CENTER, which is our version that I launched as a lifestyle entrepreneur to address that very scenario.

Prevalence of Drinking: According to the 2019 National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), 85.6 percent of people ages 18 and older reported that they drank alcohol at some point in their lifetime,1 69.5 percent said that they drank in the past year,2 and 54.9 percent (59.1 percent of men in this age group and …

Let me reveal; it’s not because alcoholic beverages are great tasting (though some of these new seltzers are). They are fantastic at temporary stress relief (not resolution), rooted in physical (biological) fatigue. You feel better when you drink, at least while doing it, but they are just perpetuating the downward energy spiral.

So what does a healthy, high-performing/achieving person who thrives do? Even though they may periodically drink for one reason, they never rely on alcohol for stress relief or recovery. They count on athletic or energy recovery.

This industry started in the spa industry but got even more practical when cryotherapy centers began launching in the late 2000s. These centers are fantastic for helping people deal with pain, as they help reduce pain, increase weight loss (you can burn up to 600 calories as your body deals with such extreme cold), and more. And, Cryotherapy chambers are novel, but they are not the primary modalities you go to for regeneration and recovery.

It takes an enormous amount of energy to withstand the cold of a Cryotherapy chamber. Regeneration/recovery starts with the body producing more energy, not spending more power, even if some of the hormetic benefits are useful.

So what are you looking for in your local area?

You are looking for PEMF, Red Light Therapy, Compression Therapy, and Infrared Saunas. There are also a bunch of nice-to-haves, such as Hyperbaric chambers, for example. Still, they are costly in terms of both time to use, the need for a therapist in most cases, and the therapy itself at somewhere between $100 and $150 per session; when it comes to recovery. That’s pretty impractical.

So you want to stick with the basics of recovery in our view.

If you are not local, and can’t find a center, I’ve got a link below that can get you started at home.

Action Items:

Repeat this repeatedly; a recovery center will only make me “better” if I’m also managing my energy and optimizing my lifestyle, otherwise they will just help me get back to baseline.

  1. Get a bioenergetic scan to begin the process of transforming (recharging and restoring) your energy for life.
  2. If you are local, come to REGENUS CENTER to accelerate your recovery. Even if you feel pretty good, when you feel better, it’s better!
  3. If you are not local, you can begin to buy recovery products from companies like Therasage.
