This figure competition that I decided to enter has been a life changing event for me. Not just because I lost 30 plus pounds and feel amazing but that I entered it at 50 years old. There were many that questioned if I would be able to do it. But I was determined and committed and was willing to do whatever it took to make it happen. And that is exactly what I have been doing for the past 16 weeks. I don't think I ever worked harder in my life at anything. Another beautiful part has been that my 20 year old daughter is training with me and our relationship has grown because of it.

Once I made this commitment to myself, I was able to follow through. Yes there have been days that I questioned what the hell am I doing this for? but, I got that quickly out of my head and focused on the gold. Being able to make a decision, a commitment to do whatever it takes and give 110%. Whatever the results on competition day doesn't really matter - what mattered was the journey. I gave this journey my all, there was nothing more I could have done to do better and that FEELS AWESOME...
