What athletes can teach you

Written by John Allen Mollenhauer "JAM" on June 27, 2005 – 3:14 pm

You know you may or may not identify as an athlete but you are if you do anything competitive from business, to running a household, to competing in a sport or make it a point to live your life in such a way, given the relentless demand that we all face today… to remain healthy, energetic and fit in the process.

This requires an athletes mind. Athletes make space and time to take care of themselves so that they are sustainable, they recuperate and manage their energy, the fuel their bodies well, and they’re active to the point that they achieve their goals, in other words, they don’t burn out or over train.

Much of what we teach here at MyTrainer are the principles and practices that you can customize to your own life that great athletes employ in their lives.

I am always seeking better lifestyle strategies that enable me to look, feel and perform better.

Your mindset is everything. Think like an athlete. If you want to be more athletic, this bodes well; if you don’t, just want to look feel and perform better, borrow from what they have to teach and apply it in your own life in a way adjusted to you.
